Pancakes for Yeti

Look at all those pancakes! They could be for you- they could be for Yeti! Who knows! This is a little minicomic I did for Fish's class. I enjoyed it a lot, and I definitely want to do more. Colored in illustrator, actually. Which was like pulling teeth from a horse. But hey, it's done. AND, PANCAKES.

New Things!!!

What? An update? Why how rare! And yet here it is, in all of its obscurity. I get so busy that I forget I even have this blog, but I've decided I should probably maintain it just for professional purposes. So look for more art to be uploaded shortly. Probably later today! Here's just a few of the things I've done recently!

I've really got an orange/blue thing going on here in retrospect. Guess I secretly like sunsets? Not sure. But hey, whatever works. The two bottom drawings are of my girlfriend Dawn. She's pretty awesome, and she asked me to draw her with headphones, a hedgehog, and her puma shoes. Anyways, enjoy these!

An Update!

Holy chizz. I'm sorry I've been absent for so long! I am a terrible person, I know, I know. However, in my absence, I bring you arts!! It's an original, full color 8-page mini comic entitled Dead Man's Hand. However, there's a bit of a catch to this one. It's going to get published! The Anthology it is to be presented in is called Poe Twisted, presented by RedStylo Media. You can find a purchasable .pdf version of my comic at www.twistedpoe.com! Here's the cover page!!

Now, you'll notice that across from the Dead Man's Hand cover, there's a copy of my other original 8-pager inspired from my time in Japan, the World (Weston house) -Famous comic BATTLE MAMMALS!It was sold exclusively at Otakon, and now it's going to be sold exclusively online, here at my blog! Now, I know a few of you have asked for copies, and that's awesome! So to make it a little easier on me, if you've asked for one prior to this post, if you could send me a message either on here on on my facebook [HERE] again, I'd be much obliged. I'm not sure how much they'll cost yet- probably around $3.00, which is mainly to cover the cost of shipping. Also, there's a bonus art gallery at the end that was never released online! So huzzah for that!

Battle Mammals!

Well, I took a while to decide what to put up next and I finally realized that I should probably upload my 8 page short comic from the Japan trip; the infamous Battle Mammals! So without further adieu, I present to you, the reader, the most fantastic story ever told, ever. (PS, The pages are in order from left to right, top to bottom)

          So there you have it! Battles! And mammals! And some things that aren't mammals! Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the comic! I know this isn't the best way to upload a multi-page piece of literature, but hey, it's all I got! So yeah, please enjoy, and I hope you liked it!

More Characters

Hello again!! These next two pieces are from the same series, and are of a character named Zane. He's been around in my lineup for a loooong time- I mean, 7th grade long. And I'm almost 22. So he's obviously a character very close to my heart. Zane is a crazy sword-wielding mercenary, the stereotypical anti-hero that used to work for the dark side, etc. So here we go!

Dos Mas!

     So I thought I'd put up two more character design turnarounds while I was already on the topic. I love character design, so these kinds of things never really get old for me. That being said, there is ALWAYS room for improvement, so if you have any comments, I'm always open to critique as an artist!

     The first character here is Carmen. Shes the sassy girl type with a massive Spanish guitar (that looks pretty much like mine in real life haha.) The second character pictured is El Toro. He's some kind of evil Mexican warlord. Pretty menacing right? Well, sadly, he's only about 5'7". Still he's built like an ox!

Rio Turnaround

So to kick things off, I thought I'd upload something from the series I've been working on the past year or so entitled Rio!. This is a turnaround done of the titular character done for Ray Goto's Character Design class in Spring '10 quarter. This is one of my favorite characters, so he was extraordinarily fun to design. I hope you guys enjoy!
